dard bores 9mm so they are
more evenly balanced. If
shooting Major did not have such
an overwhelming scoring advantage
more people would choose
to shoot minodstandard. Would
that be bad?
I know one thing, I will not
support any proposal that would
immediately relegate either .38
Super, or 9mm to a non competitive
status.
Nearly one third of our shooters
are shooting .38 Super, and
more changing everyday. That
means about 3,000 members
have invested thousands of
dollars in state of the art firearms
and equipment for that
caliber. Those shooters who have
invested in the .38 super, the
"winning" gun in our sport, are
the most active shooters across
the nation. That devotion and
faithfulness no-one can, or
should disregard.
I am aware of your commitment
to our sport, and the
money you have invested in it.
I will do everything I can to find
a fair solution to our developing
problem.
If, through action of the World
Assembly, sweeping changes are
instituted which may jeopardize
your dedication and investment
in our sport, you will be consulted
before those changes are
implemented in the U.S.
Our membership will have the
opportunity for input and in all
likely hood will be able to vote
on their acceptance, or rejection
within USPSA.
I, and your USPSA Board
Of Directors are all serious
shooters. We care about you
and your sport and will do
everything in our power to
see that undue or unnecessary
restrictions are not
implemented.
