was c<strong>on</strong>tributed by Milne Edwards, who also provided, in a large m<strong>on</strong>ograph of the<br />

fossil birds of France, an osteological basis for the study of this class." A rare <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> nicely<br />

produced m<strong>on</strong>ograph <strong>on</strong> fossil birds, providing a geological distributi<strong>on</strong> of fossil birds<br />

<str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> a comprehensive treatment of the living species. Most lithographs by Louveau <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />

several a bit foxed, but mostly at the edges. The text with large margins. Ex libris of Mary<br />
