= This is the rare first edition, the second was published in Paris 1845 with 636p. <strong>and</strong> one
plate. Wood 563: A st<strong>and</strong>ard work on animal migration. DSB vol.12 p.317/318. We also
have his original manuscript of the bird migration from about 1840, see below. We also
have the second edition (1845) with a new Paul Lechevalier cover of 1940(?). We have
several other printed works such as: Essai pour servir à l'histoire des Animaux du Midi
de la France (1822) <strong>and</strong> further over 125 original manuscripts of this same author. Please

different h<strong>and</strong>writing from neat to rather rough with numerous

= The first manuscript on birds deals with the migration <strong>and</strong> describes about 60 different
species in the Provence <strong>and</strong> the Midi de la France. The other manuscript on fish <strong>and</strong>
amphibians seems not to be complete as it starts with "feuillettes" no. 108 to 127 <strong>and</strong>
includes an observation on "Torpeur par effet de la chaleur Crocodile contrée
Equatoriale" <strong>and</strong> a h<strong>and</strong>written plan to a letter to a Minister in which he relates to
Cuvier!
