Apart from some foxing in the text a fine set. Buffon, Les gr<strong>and</strong>s Naturalistes Français (R. Published in 1778 for the first time, we believe this is the fourth edition of this very popular french manual on fowling of the 18th <strong>and</strong> 19th century. Not in Nissen nor Anker! Only in Ronsil no.419 quoting a wrong number of plates. A highly augmented <strong>and</strong> rare edition of the Aviceptologie française, first published in 1778 with only 34 plates. Some light foxing but mainly in the text. 39.
