TJpper edge very oblique, trending inwardfrom front to back almost cristate and strongly deflexed at the prosima1angle. Outer surface more convex than the inner, abruptly depn:ssedbefore the oblique posterior margin and with a papillose prominencehigh on the p;llm near the (lepression. Below tlie prominence acurved row of four papillae desc~nds to the root of the fixed finger;above the prominencc a horizontal row of 3-rarely 4 or 5-papillaeextend forward to the distal margin of the palm. Tvo papillae situatednear the median line mark off the inner surface longitudinally intothircls.Fixed finger eurre(1 inward, its latt:ral angles and the acute crennlatedlower edge bordered by sockets. On the occln(lent surface of thefixed finger there is a low dentelatetl carina. xrhich bears a blunt mediantooth. Dactylus suddenly at,tcnuate(l at t,he tip? v.hiel~ isbent downwardat the right angle to tlie occlndent margin; on the occludent surfacebehind the tip there is a prominent notch followed successively by arlentelatcd ridge: :I hiatus, and a lolv prosimal tooth. The tips of thefingers cross 1vI1en closed, tliat of the fixed finger outermost and engagingt,l~e notch behind the tip of the d;~etylus.Wrist more than three-quarters the length of the palm; upper andlo~ver edges acute and crenulatcd; a forward point,ing spine just belowthe upper distal angle. On the onter surface near the lower distalcorner there is a short ohlique groove mith beaded margins. Mernsslightly shorter than the ~rrist: lower margin straight posteriorly, uppermargin convex. Outer surface transrersc:ly angulated, coarsely papillatedalong the angulation and provided with a large tubercle behindthe distal articular nocle. Lower edge of merns acute and serrate.Tschiun~ about three times longer than its distal height; npper andlo~ver margins slightly eonrergent prosimally, thc upper margin ~'itlia serrate distal lobe; outer surface morlerately convex in a vertical directionand mith a longitudinal sulcus below the median line.Xinor palm of first pair of chelipeds squarish; posterior marginoblique in lateral profile, tlic lower corner rounded; upper and loweredges acute, crennlate and erect throughout their entire length. Outersurface slightly more conves than the inner, shallowly depressed longitudinallyalong the upper quarter, t,11e depression marlced with 4 to 6rather exnl:: spaced papillae. From the prosimal papilla of this rowa enrred row of 3 to G papillae descend to the root of the finger. Twopapillae near the median line of the inner surface divide the palm intothirds longitudinally. Fixed finger sliglitly shorter than palm, slender.the lateral edges beaded and soclceterl ; outer edge intersected anteriorto the half-length by a sharp obliqne carina which occupies the proximalportion of the occludent surface.
