The specimens figured by Weller which mere placed inthe synonomy are from the Wenonah formation at Crawfords Corners,<strong>New</strong> <strong>Jersey</strong>.Type.-Good nope Hill, D. Shell broadly umbilicate, with two or three volutions, spire depressed,suture about flush with the surface. Outer volution gibbous,its greatest width above the middle, periphery rounded, the upper andlower surfaces both convex, the slope <strong>of</strong> the upper surface to the suturemore abrupt than the slope <strong>of</strong> the lower surfacc, contracted below to avery short anterior canal. Surface <strong>of</strong> the outer volution marked withrevolving costae, probably about seven or eight in number, and bytransverse ribs <strong>of</strong> about equal strength, with interspaces about equalto those between the revolving costae; the points <strong>of</strong> intersection <strong>of</strong> tl~crevolving and transverse ribs arc elevated into low nocles. Internalcasts smooth or marked by more or less indistinct revolving ribs, thcsurface rounded from the suture to the angular umbilical margin, thegreatest thickness <strong>of</strong> the volution about its mid-height.; columellarcavity very broad, marked by a single strong and sharp revolving foldsituated near the anterior margin.
