Surface marked by about 12 fine, threadlikerevolving ribs, three <strong>of</strong> which are larger than the rest, are placed at.equal distances from each other, and from the upper and lover edges,and are slightly undulated so as to produce a series <strong>of</strong> minute nodes.This charact,er shows itself to a much less extent on some <strong>of</strong> the smallerribs. The type speci~nen is theapical portion <strong>of</strong> a shell 11.5 mm. in length and 4.5 mm. in maximumdiameter, and retains 10 volutions. The volutions are sharply carinateat about their mid-height, the space betxvcen the carinae <strong>of</strong> adjacentvolutions being a broad, deep, concave, revolving depression, whoseupper slope is more abrupt than the lo~r~er, and whose greatest depthis a little above the middle. Suture situated near the middle <strong>of</strong> the revolvingdepression, a little below the line <strong>of</strong> greatest depth. The entiresurface <strong>of</strong> the shell is marked with very fine, elevated, revolving, lines.(Weller)Rentarks.-The type specimen is only the apical portion <strong>of</strong> ;I sl~ell.the apertural portion being incomplete.
