MEN'S ATHLETICSThough athletics are not overemphasized at WesternMaryland, they are recognized as an importantand characteristic feature of college life. You willbe a participant a spectator at innumerable contestsorin football, soccer, basketball, wrestling, base-ball, lacrosse, golf, or tennis. If your competitivezeal exceeds your weight or ability, you will have 4plenty of chance on one of the many intramuralteams which vie in half a dozen sports throughoutthe year. The Lennis courts and the golf course allthe campus allow you to develop skill in the socialsports so useful after college days have passed.
