Connect up the modules together either with the flat AS-i yellow cable.2. Identify each module clearly.3. Connect computer to the VAM gateway module using an RS-232 cable.4. Be careful about installation of power cable to the gateway.5. Boot up PC <strong>and</strong> select AS-i tools icon.6. Confirm that lights are illuminated on the AS-i gateway.7. Go to master new <strong>and</strong> check configuration under communications <strong>and</strong> ensurethat it is set up for COM 1 st<strong>and</strong>ard communications.8. Select file from open file called blank. AS-i (C:\act\demo\)9. Load in file.10. Confirm that the mode switch light is off on the gateway module.11. Download the program to the gateway module by using the downward arrowon the menu.12. Remove the RS-232 cable from the gateway module.13. Click on the mode switch for approximately 15 seconds until the project lightgoes out <strong>and</strong> observe it scanning the stations on the network.14. Hold down again until the project light goes again.15. The system has now been reset.16. Go to master new <strong>and</strong> set up comms link appropriately.17. Upload the current status of the network.18. Read the parameter settings <strong>and</strong> comment on the symbols used under slaves.19. Alternatively, delete everything after assembler <strong>and</strong> type in the followingsequence:ProgramA I 2.0= Q 1.0***beend.Ensure that the program input <strong>and</strong> output declarations match up with the originaldeclarations at the beginning of the program.1. Save <strong>and</strong> download the program.2. Activate the program by setting it to run.3. Confirm program works.4.
