Lack of time andskills are key barriers. Since the common risk factors, smoking, physical inactivity andunhealthy diet are risk factors that contribute to most of the health conditions among olderadults, modifying these and keeping healthy lifestyles are key components of good healthpractice in older age. This section focuses on providing guidelines, recommendations andtools of behavioural counselling to target these three common risk factors.17
