Section B - Operation, cont’d.<strong>Heat</strong> Strip Mode Operation - See FIB. B<strong>10</strong>(For Duo-Therm air conditioners with an electric heat strip.)1. Momentarily depress and release the MODEpush-button until the HEAT STRIP indicator on the LCDis illuminated.2. The fan will operate in LOW, MED or AUTO. You willnot be able to select HIGH speed when in the HEATSTRIP mode. Depress and release the FAN pushbuttonto select desired speed.3. Depress and release the UP push-button to increasethe temperature or the DN push-button to decreasethe temperature. The final selected SETPOINT will bedisplayed in the LCD area of the Comfort Control Center.4. The electric heat strip will cycle ON and OFF per thetemperature SETPOINT displayed. The fan will either:a. continue to operate in the selected fan speed or,b. cycle OFF and ON with the heat strip if the AUTOfan speed has been selected.5. If the vehicle contains more than one ZONE, depressthe FAN and MODE push-buttons simultaneously toselect ZONE 2, and repeat procedures from Step 1above. Repeat entire procedure for each additionalzone.FIG. B<strong>10</strong>72Auto FanWhen AUTO FAN is selected, the fan speed will be determinedby the mode you are in.COOL MODE - In the COOL mode, which is the airconditioning mode, the fan will automatically select thespeed depending upon the difference between the temperatureSETPOINT and the room temperature. Whenthat difference is:8° or more The fan will operate on HIGH4° to 8° The fan will operate on MED4° or below The fan will operate on LOWB1d. Comfort Control CenterHEAT PUMP MODE - When HEAT PUMP mode isselected, the fan will automatically run in the LOWspeed.HEAT STRIP MODE - When HEAT STRIP mode isselected, the fan will automatically run in the LOWspeed.FAN ONLY MODE - In the FAN ONLY mode, the fanautomatically runs in the LOW speed.Refrigerant Compressor Time DelayA time delay of approximately two minutes occurs any timethe compressor is required to begin the cooling or heatpump cycle.Power InterruptionIn the event that power to the air conditioner or control isinterrupted, the system will restart with the same settingsyou have previously set.Zone ControlThe Duo-Therm Comfort Control Center will operate coolingand heating appliances which the vehicle manufacturerhas designed to heat or cool different areas (ZONES) ofyour <strong>RV</strong>. The Comfort Control Center will advise you if thevehicle has multiple ZONES, by showing ZONE 1, 2, 3 or4 in the LCD readout.Stage Control OperationIf the vehicle is equipped with a Duo-Therm Dual Basement<strong>Air</strong> <strong>Conditioner</strong> or a Dual Basement <strong>Heat</strong> <strong>Pump</strong>, youhave an air conditioning system that is designed to optimizecomfort and running efficiencies. This is accomplishedby providing an on-demand secondary stage of operation.Note: The primary stage will continue to operate even ifthere isn’t electrical power available to run the second stage.The Comfort Control Center simplifies this operation byallowing you to set the primary temperature set-point andthe differential temperature set-point which activates thesecondary stage. After turning on your Comfort ControlCenter, perform the following steps to set and activate thestage control operation. See FIG. B11.1. Momentarily depress the MODE push-button until thedesired mode of operation is selected. (FAN ONLY,COOL, HEAT PUMP)2. Momentarily depress the FAN push-button until the desiredfan speed indicator is illuminated (LOW, HIGH,AUTO)20
