Health management<br />

Proper treatment, care and support of<br />

the employees and promotion of occupational<br />

safety and health protection at<br />

the workplace are important business<br />

policy components of <strong>Sappi</strong> Stockstadt<br />

GmbH. Health management is fully<br />

integrated into the management systems<br />

of <strong>Sappi</strong> Stockstadt and closely meshed<br />

with the occupational safety targets.<br />

For <strong>Sappi</strong> Stockstadt GmbH health management<br />

means purposefully designing all<br />

operating processes with the aim of preserving<br />

and promoting the health and wellbeing<br />

of all employees. Health is not only highly<br />

valued in itself, but is also a very significant<br />

factor for a “healthy enterprise”.<br />

In <strong>2011</strong>, for instance, the “Global Safety<br />

Awareness Day” was held throughout the<br />

entire <strong>Sappi</strong> Group and which also included<br />

a vaccination campaign and health check.<br />

for first­aid helpers and<br />

courses. The topics of relaxation and social<br />

reintegration after long illness will be central<br />

issues in 2012. These will include courses<br />

offered for “progressive muscle relaxation<br />

according to the Jacobson method” and<br />

discussions with executives offered to<br />

employees returning to employment after<br />

illness.<br />

The three pillars of our corporate health management<br />

In practice, our corporate health management<br />

is founded on three pillars – occupational<br />

safety and health protection, prevention and<br />

health protection, as well as regular medical<br />

consulting for the employees. These topics<br />

will be discussed in the workforce safety<br />
