convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein. Seven days ye shalloffer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: on the eighth day shallbe an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering madeby fire unto the LORD: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do noservile work therein." (Leviticus 23:34-36 KJV) When God repeatsinformation, He wants us to know that He takes the information veryseriously. Look at verses 39-41. "Also in the fifteenth day of the seventhmonth, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep afeast unto the LORD seven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath. And ye shall take you on thefirst day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and theboughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoicebefore the LORD your God seven days. And ye shall keep it a feastunto the LORD seven days in the year. It shall be a statute for ever inyour generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month." (Lev23:39-41 KJV) We find two Holy Days during this festival, which arecalled Sabbaths and are to be observed forever.Leviticus chapter 23 ends the same way that it began. "And Mosesdeclared unto the children of Israel the feasts of the LORD." (Lev23:44 KJV) We see that these are God’s festivals that are to be observedforever by all of His people and that they are not just for the Jews.In ReviewAll of God’s festivals are contained in Leviticus chapter 23. His firstHoly Day is the seventh day Sabbath, which occurs every week. Sevenother Holy Days occur every year: the first and seventh days ofUnleavened Bread, Pentecost, Trumpets, Day of Atonement, and thefirst and eighth days of Tabernacles. Passover and Firstfruits arefestivals, but are not Holy Days.22
