Appendix 5Community Engagement Survey Summary January 22, 2009<strong>Caregiver</strong> <strong>Support</strong> <strong>Project</strong>In an effort to underst<strong>and</strong> the needs of caregivers within the <strong>Central</strong> <strong>East</strong> LHIN, a process of communityengagement was implemented from November 1 to December 20, 2008. <strong>Caregiver</strong>s were asked toidentify, their location within the CE LHIN, the length of time they have been a caregiver <strong>and</strong> their topthree needs. They were asked to comment on the caregiver definition <strong>and</strong> support component chartwhich has been developed. The responses from this process will ensure that adequate input has beenreceived from caregivers.To date response has been received from 273 caregivers throughout the <strong>Central</strong> <strong>East</strong> LHIN. Feedbackwas received from focus groups, 1:1 interviews, email, website viewing <strong>and</strong> written letters.
