Fans reduce inside working height by 12”.FN SERIESAtmosphere Box Furnaces with Certifiable Uniformity of ± 5°F from 300°F to 2200°FAPPLICATIONSThe FN Series Ultra Uniform Electric BoxFurnaces feature extremely uniform temperaturegradients over a wide temperature range.The other essential feature is very tightatmosphere construction. Uniform distributionof elements, fan circulation of furnaceatmosphere, ceramic fiber insulation, six ormore zones of element control, SCR powercontrol, generous extra area inside the furnaceto keep direct radiation of elements at aminimum and a very tight gasketed andinterlocked door seal make the FN Seriesunique. Atmospheres may be air, inert orcombustible. The uniformity specification isguaranteed from 300°F (150°C) to themaximum temperature of the furnace. Themaximum temperature rating depends on thetype of fan used, type of elements and grade ofinsulation. Three temperature ranges areoffered: 1800°F (980°C), 2000°F (1095°C), and2200°F (1200°C).These furnaces are ideal foraviation work or any critical heat treating thatrequires certifiable uniformity. When the door is in the full downposition, four powerful pneumatic clamps pullthe door horizontally closed tight against thetwo independent gasket seals and into theheat interlock.The main gasket is a wide padof ceramic fiber. This is augmented by atadpole gasket and a precision interlockinghard fiber plug that protrudes from the doorinto a matching notch in the furnace case seal.This is anFN 545with aloader andserpentinehearth.The photo on the frontcover is an FN Series furnace.This three way seal ensures both theatmosphere and heat seal.
