FW SERIES2400°F Gas Fired ForgingFurnacesThe FW Series feature a unique vertical doorthat allows the furnace to be used as ageneral purpose box furnace or a slot forgingfurnace. Single or multiple burners.MODEL W H D BTU/HR MAX LOADFW 222 24 24 24 200,000 600FW 224 24 24 48 400,000 1200FW 333 36 36 36 600,000 1350FW 334 36 36 48 700,000 1800FW 336 36 36 72 800,000 2700FW 444 48 48 48 900,000 2400FW 446 48 48 72 1,250,000 3600Dimensions are working dimensions.PT SERIESTop Loading Pit FurnacesThe PT Series are round furnaces typicallyinstalled in pits for processing of longparts that must be kept vertical. They oftenhave powerful bottom mounted fans andrecirculation baffles for high uniformity. Theymay be designed for annealing, neutralhardening, carburizing, carbonitriding or avariety of other applications. Electric or gasradiant tube fired. Sizes, temperature rangeand design are customized for the application.CP SERIESContinuous Batch TemperOvensThe CP Series Continuous Batch ProductionOvens feature automatic batch loading, singleor multiple zones, optional air and/or watercooling. Each station’s load is independentand does not require another tray to move it.The CP ovens are typically used for temperingin post induction hardening operations.Gas or electric.IQV 1224Vertical Integral QuenchFurnaceThe IQV 1224 is a Vertical Loading IntegralQuench Furnace. It features virtually “instanton” capability because of its unique retortdesign. Operation is automated. Workingdimensions are 12” diameter by 24” high.200 pound load. Total KW: 28. 1800°F(980°C) maximum temperature. Useful forcarburizing, carbonitriding and neutralhardening where case finish is critical.Page 30NM SERIESNitrogen/MethanolAtmosphere SystemsThe NM Series Nitrogen/Methanol FlowControl System uses nitrogen and methanol toprovide a highly protective atmosphere forcarburizing, neutral hardening and otherprocesses. Optional ammonia flow systemprovides carbonitriding capability. The methanoldissociates into 67% hydrogen and 33% carbonmonoxide. Along with 40% added nitrogen thisprovides the base atmosphere (very similar toendothermic gas but more uniform and with alower dew point). Natural gas or propane isadded to increase carbon potential. Optionalcompressed air is used to lower carbonpotential when necessary and for carbon burnout. Nitrogen is also used as an emergencypurge. The percentage of methanol vs nitrogencan be varied to adjust for varying conditions. The combustible portion of the atmosphere isintroduced above 1400°F (760°C). Flow ratesand ranges are engineered for specific systems. The methanol and nitrogen are injected intothe furnace through an alloy sparger which islocated inside the furnace. This spargeratomizes and dissociates the methanol before itactually enters the furnace interior.Atmosphereis controlled with an oxygen probe and digitalcarbon control.CB SERIESCarburizing & NeutralHardening FurnacesThe CB Series is designed for carburizing, carbonitriding and neutral hardening. Thesefurnaces feature endothermic or nitrogen/methanol atmospheres, automatic carboncontrol, fan, and heavy gauge low voltage rodoverbend elements or gas fired radiant tubes. The maximum temperature is 2000°F (1095°C).MODEL W H D KW MAX LOADCBS 124 12 12 24 12.5 150CB 222 24 24 24 51 400CB 223 24 24 36 63 600CB 224 24 24 48 74 800CB 324 36 24 48 89 1200CB 326 36 24 72 115 1800Dimensions are working dimensions.www.hotfurnace.com
