<strong>Golf</strong> Digest’s best in state list. The recentlyopened Woodhaven Course <strong>of</strong>fers dramaticviews overlooking Glade’s Creek andmountainous terrain and <strong>of</strong>fers a uniquecomplement to the other two courses.Lodging options at Glade Springs includerooms and suites in the Inn; two-roomExecutive Suites; four to six bedroomChestnut Hill Lodges; and two and threebedroom Villas or Manor Houses, whichallow golf groups to choose one bedroom, afloor <strong>of</strong> four bedrooms, or the entire house.Grandview Country Club in Beaverprovides many elevation changes and greatviews <strong>of</strong> the countryside. The front nine is abit flat, while the back is much hillier. Watercomes into play on several holes. Thismedium-length layout has three sets <strong>of</strong>teeboxes for a fun, challenging experience.Additionally, two <strong>of</strong> the five state parkswith golf courses are located in the region.Pipestem Resort State Park has two golfcourses. The 18-hole championship courseoverlooks the Bluestone Canyon and the9-hole short course is a challenging collection<strong>of</strong> par 3s. This state park resort boasts moderncottages and the hotel-style McKeever Lodge,overlooking the canyon. Nearby is Twin FallsState Park in Mullens. Water comes into playon 15 <strong>of</strong> the 18 holes here. Strategy ratherthan strength is called for on the GeorgeCobb layout. Twin Falls <strong>of</strong>fers a 48-roommountaintop lodge and 14 comfortablevacation cottages.
