YUKON HIGHWAYS LOG BOOK October 2008The October 2008 Yukon Highways Log Book reflects substantial completion of the Shakwak reconstruction project and updating ofkilometre posts on the Alaska Highway between km 1636.6, Silver Creek, and km 1902.5, the Yukon\Alaska border.For many years a correction factor has been required in order to calculate distance along the the Alaska Highway. The correction factorreflected the shortening of the Alaska Highway due to reconstruction. With the grade reconstruction now completed, and the kilometermarkers reposted, the correction factor is no longer required within the Yukon Territory.
