This is a patented designwhich eliminates circulating currents in thealuminium foils. This spurious current flow onthe capacitor plates is known to occur, but isnot apparent in most applications.Slit foil capacitor research has also indicatedthat improvements in the general constructionof the capacitors give better results in audiowhere the fidelity of the waveshape is veryimportant. Great attention has been paid tothe construction details which can affect theperformance, i.e. foil type, its connectionsand the mechanical construction.
