Advanced Life Support Sizing Analysis Tool (ALSSAT), Version 12.0MSC-25510-1The Advanced Life Support Sizing Analysis Tool (ALSSAT) is a computer model for sizing and analyzingdesigns of environmental-control and life support systems (ECLSS) for spacecraft and surface habitatsinvolved in the exploration of Mars and the Moon. It performs conceptual designs of advanced life support(ALS) subsystems that recycle air and water and process wastes in order to reduce the need for resourceresupply. ALSSAT is a means of investigating combinations of such subsystems’ technologies and therebyassists in determining the most cost-effective technology combination available. Using the Microsoft Excelspreadsheet software with Visual Basic programming language, ALSSAT has been developed to performmultiple-case trade studies based on the calculated ECLSS mass, volume, power, and Equivalent SystemMass, as well as parametric studies by varying the input parameters. ALSSAT’s modular format is specificallydesigned for the ease of future maintenance and upgrades.U.S. Government Purpose ReleaseAerospike Design and Performance Tool (ADAPT)MFS-33098-1The ADAPT computer code designs and analyzes the performance of linear, annular, or plug-cluster aerospikeengines. ADAPT can automatically evaluate aerospike nozzle performance over a wide variation ofindependent design variables, and it can be used in concert with other built-in analysis techniques to optimizeaerospike nozzles over an entire flight envelope. Any propellant system can be modeled. Outputs of the codeinclude files that contain the thruster/spike contour and a summary output file for each thruster/spike designpoint, as well as vacuum and delivered performance data for the thruster and the entire thruster/spike module.One-dimensional performance data are also included for both the thruster and aerospike so that efficienciesand comparisons may be made.U.S. Release OnlyAerotherm Charring Material Thermal and Ablation Program (CMA02)MFS-31980-1The Aerotherm Charring Material Thermal and Ablation Program (CMA02), developed from the public domainCMA87S code, is an implicit, finite-difference computational procedure for computing the one-dimensionaltransient transport of thermal energy in a three-dimensional isotropic material.U.S. Release OnlyAerotherm Chemical Equilibrium (ACE)MFS-32300-1The Aerotherm Chemical Equilibrium (ACE) code was developed for predictive thermal/ablative analysisof rocket nozzle liner materials. The tool offers versatility in calculating quantities of importance to a broadvariety of thermochemical processes.U.S. Release OnlyArchitecture Adaptive Computing Environment (ACE)GSC-14911-1The Architecture Adaptive Computing Environment (ACE) is a parallel computing language, compiler, andruntime library. The purpose of ACE is to allow a programmer to more easily write parallel programs for a widevariety of parallel computer architectures.Open Source10. Design and Integration ToolsAutomated Mission Planning and Scheduling System (AMPS), Version 2GSC-15852-1Five major components comprise the AMPS solution: (1) a C-language integrated production system (CLIPS)inference engine; (2) a graphical user interface (GUI); (3) a common object request broker architecture(CORBA); (4) a special functions component; and (5) a data component. CLIPS resolves currently activegoals and objectives into a plan; a dynamic scheduler algorithm then expands the plan into a full schedule, adjusting it as needed.U.S. Government Purpose Release84NASA Technology Transfer Program Software Catalog 2014
