RAFTING RACECOURSEThe course begins on the Fırtına River one kilometersouth of Çamlıhemşin. There are boulders around the fifthkilometer and dangerous passages at seven, eight andnine kilometers south of Çamlıhemşin. At about 12 kilometers,the Duygulu Waterfall meets the river. The 23-kilometerswatercourse is full of stones, and care is needed.A disaster systemworth TL 6.5 millionThanks to the support of the Scientific andTechnological Research Council of Turkey(TÜBİTAK), İstanbul Technical University andNetcad, we were able to establish the Rize DisasterInformation and Early Meteorological WarningSystem. Through this institution, we aim to keep lossesto a minimum in the advent of a natural disaster.6,5 milyon TL'likafet sistemiTürkiye Bilimsel ve Teknolojik Araştırma Kurumu (TÜBİTAK)desteği, İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi (İTÜ) ve Netcad işbirliğiile Rize Afet Bilgi ve Meteoroloji Erken Uyarı Projesi'ni hayatageçirdik. Doğal afetlere karşı kurulan 10 istasyondan alınacakerken uyarı ile yaşanması muhtemel afetlerdeki kayıplarınönlenmesini ya da en aza indirilmesini hedefledik.52RİZEBLACK SEA 2010We use natural gasWe use natural gas: We completed the 115-kilometerpart of a natural gas pipeline between Rize andBayburt quickly to give Rize a cleaner environment.We laid 65 kilometers of natural gas pipeline in the citycenter, and so far, 2,600 people have subscribed to usenatural gas for heating. Currently, 1,600 families usenatural gas, and we aim to spread this facility to allresidents in the city center by the end of the year.Doğalgaz yakıyoruzRize'yi modern yaşama ve temiz havayakavuşturacak olan doğalgaz boruhattının 115 km'lik Bayburt-Rize kısmınıkısa sürede tamamladık. Şehir merkezinde65 km doğalgaz boru hattı döşedik.2.600 kişiyi abone yaptık.Yaptığımız çalışmalar neticesinde bugünitibari ile 1.600 abone doğalgazkullanıyor. Yıl sonuna kadar şehir merkezinintamamında doğalgaz kullanmasınıhedefliyoruz.
