CONSULAR FEE
The following consular fee tariffs must
be applied when issuing visas of the
Republic of Lithuania, as established by
October 27, 2004 Resolution No 1347
of the Government of the Republic of
Lithuania amending paragraph 3 of the
Resolution No 1135 of November 16,
1994 of the Government of the Republic
of Lithuania “Regarding the Approval
of the Tariffs of Consular Fees of the
Republic of Lithuania and the Procedure
for the Payment and Refund of Consular
Fees of the Republic of Lithuania”:
Visas are issued in diplomatic missions
and consular posts of the Republic of
Lithuania. A single-entry short-stay visa
valid for up to 15 days and a single-entry
transit visa valid for up to five days may
be issued at a border control post.

CREDIT CARDS
All convertible currencies can be exchanged
at banks and currency exchange
offices. The latter can be found in major
hotels, airports, some supermarkets,
train and bus stations. Most transactions
are made in cash. Most establishments
accept major credit cards including
Globus, Euro Card, MasterCard, Visa
and Visa Electron and (less widely),
American Express. Travellers’ cheques
are rarely accepted by retailers and can
only be changed in banks and currency
exchange offices (valiutos keitykla).
ATMs are common in large cities.
MEDICAL
No vaccination or health certificates are
required. Health insurance is advisable.
Medicine is widely available in every
town in Lithuania.

Public telephones use cards only. They
Airport transit visas, equated to (A) type visas 35 €
Transit visas, equated to (B) type visas 35 €
Short-term visas, equated to (C) type visas 35 €
Long-term visas, equated to (D) type visas 60 €
Group visas (A, B, C) 35 € + 1 € for each person
Facilitated transit documents 5 €
can be purchased at all Lietuvos Spauda
kiosks, post offices, some hotels, restaurants
and other public establishments.
Mobile Telecommunications
Three mobile operators in Lithuania
are Bitė, Omnitel and TELE2. All three
companies offer pre-paid SIM card services.
