HEROISM AND VILLAINY IN OPERA, VERSE AND ART

Programme
Masterclasses: Dame Anne Evans and Maestro Anthony Negus work with
Longborough’s Brünnhilde, Rachel Nicholls to prepare for the
complete Ring in 2013 as well as with other members of The
Mastersingers Company and The Goodall Academy.
Concerts: Piano recital by Tamriko Sakvarelidze and her husband Richard Black.
Grand Gala Concert with international vocal and instrumental artists
associated with The Mastersingers Company.
Presentations: Terry Barfoot presents “Heroism in Opera” and “Villainy in Opera”
with both live and recorded musical examples.
David Edwards presents “Nolan in the Theatre” an appraisal of Sir
Sidney Nolan’s designs for The Royal Opera House Covent Garden
with performances from Mastersingers Company artists.
Other events: Quality wine tasting at the Judge’s Lodging with Richard Black
Grand Victorian Buffet (with wine)
Drinks at The Rodd followed by the opening of Sir Sidney Nolan’s
exhibition on the subject of Ned Kelly.
Visit to the Edward Elgar Birthplace Museum
The Music Club of London package
Coach transport from London, all meals, three nights accommodation and tickets for all
