Brown union case (brokenhinge). Note accompanying this photo identifies the girl as Ruth Sevier Wilder Collins (b. 1834), however, it may be anotherfamily member. Scattered spots around mat. 2ND ITEM: Sixth plate ambrotype of a young boy, st<strong>and</strong>ing on the same chair asthe girl in the first photograph. Brown union case (broken hinge). Scattered spots around mat. 3RD ITEM: Quarter pageambrotype of a young woman, believed to be Annie Sevier (b. 1836), finely dressed <strong>and</strong> seated. Condition: broken union case,spots to mat <strong>and</strong> image, small interior crack at lower edge. 4TH ITEM: Quarter page ambrotype of the same young womanpictured in the previous item, probably Annie Sevier, similarly dressed <strong>and</strong> seated. Spots to mat, case intact. 5TH ITEM: Framedoval tintype (4-1/2" x 3-1/2") of a young girl in plaid dress, under glass with wood molded frame, heavily oxidized edges. 6THITEM: Framed smaller oval tintype of a young girl holding the back of a chair. Writing on back identifies her as Minnie at age 5 in1861 (probably Minnie Wilder, b. 1854, only daughter of Ruth Sevier Wilder Collins <strong>and</strong> her first husb<strong>and</strong>; she is not believed tohave lived to adulthood). 7TH ITEM: Quarter page ambrotype of a woman in a floral dress, holding a fan, possibly Ruth SevierWilder Collins. Spotting <strong>and</strong> oxidation to mat <strong>and</strong> image, frame coming apart, case broken. 8TH ITEM: Quarter page ambrotypeof an older woman in a bonnet holding spectacles. Top half of union case missing, significant spotting to mat <strong>and</strong> image. 9TH &10TH ITEMS: Cabinet card, same older female subject, one framed, the other unframed <strong>and</strong> stamped "F.M. Somers/MemphisTenn." on front <strong>and</strong> inscribed in pencil on back: "To my dear Children from their devoted mother with love - Mildred H. SevierMay 1898". Image 4" x 3". 11TH ITEM: Cabinet card featuring a print of John Sevier, first governor of TN, with his printedsignature. Back of card reads McCrary Branson Photograph & Portrait <strong>Art</strong>ists No. 130 Gay St. Knoxville Tenn. with later peninscription "John Sevier 1st gov of Tn/ Sallie M. Sevier June 1889." Image size 4" x 3". 12TH ITEM: Daughters of the AmericanRevolution certificate for Ruth Sevier La Malta Connell, dated 1951. Framed, 8" x 10". Approximate size: 3'10" x 6'8". Circa 1895. Provenance: ex-HenryFredette collection. 2ND ITEM: Printed cotton parade flag, 39 stars. Size: approximately 30" x 40". Note: there never was anofficial 39-star U.S. flag. This 39-star flag was made in anticipation of the admission of the Dakota Territory as a single statefollowing Colorado's admission in 1876 as the 38th state. However, both Dakotas, Montana <strong>and</strong> Washington were made intostates in November, 1889 <strong>and</strong> Idaho was admitted July 3, 1890. Provenance: Estate of A.
