If thisis the case, the FTPD/T should discuss this with the FSD. This shouldinclude the evidence required below. It is recommended that postgraduate centres (or equivalent) providea record of attendance for each F2 doctor. It has been agreed thatan acceptable attendance record should typically be 70%. However,if the F2 doctor has not attended 70% of teaching sessions for goodreasons, it may still be appropriate to confirm that the F2 doctorhas met the required standard. If there are concerns regardingengagement or if attendance is below 50%, the FTPD/T should discussthis with the FSD.F2 doctors should record how they have demonstrated each outcome. The Curriculum requires F2 doctors to maintain and improvetheir skills in the procedures required by the GMC for successfulcompletion of F1. By the end of F2, foundation doctors should beable to help others with difficult procedures and guide F1 doctors inteaching others. The Curriculum requires that F2 doctors have been actively involvedin undertaking a clinical audit, and recognise how it relates tothe improvement of clinical standards and addresses the clinicalgovernance agenda. The UK Foundation Programme: Reference Guide48
