Ostend has a very individual charm, characteristic sea front, mariners, parks, bustling markets and<br />

shops, lively nightlife and its centre piece casino. There are also fish and sea food stalls along the<br />

pier, a miniature railway, horse drawn carriage rides through the city and many parades, festivals,<br />

markets and fairs to enjoy.<br />

YOUR ITINERARY:<br />

Day 1: We travel south to Dover and take the short<br />

sea crossing to Calais from where we continue to<br />

Ostend.<br />

Day 2: A day at leisure to enjoy the many sights in<br />

Ostend.<br />

Day 3: Full day tour to Antwerp which is the real<br />

urban deal, a refreshingly down-to-earth yet vivacious<br />

cosmopolitan habitat blessed with magnificent<br />

architecture, fashionable shop fronts, beer-washed<br />

Honfleur, Normandy<br />

YOUR ITINERARY:<br />

Sunday 6th: We travel south to Portsmouth and<br />

board the Brittany Ferry for our overnight crossing<br />

to Caen.<br />

Monday 7th: After disembarking our ferry we travel<br />

to Bayeux via the coast road. Bayeux’s perfectly<br />

preserved medieval ensemble, magnificent cathedral<br />

and world famous tapestry make it a high point for<br />

pubs, dazzling monuments, inspired artworks and<br />

restaurant tables piled with plates of superb Belgian<br />

and multicultural food. Antwerp, home of the Flemish<br />

Baroque master Rubens, not only has a wealth of<br />

outstanding museums, picturesque galleries, sculpted<br />

streets and beautiful architecture, but is also laced<br />

with refreshing greenery, urban haunts and world<br />

class shopping.<br />

Day 4: Full Day tour to Brugge with its network of<br />

cobbled streets, gabled houses and tree lined canals;<br />

Tuesday 8th: <strong>Travel</strong>ling along the coast to Trouville<br />

we make our way to Rouen the site of Joan d’Arc’s<br />

demise. Rouen has a wealth of fine shops, a splendid<br />

cathedral and a maze of pretty pedestrianised streets<br />

with some great monuments. The main square, Place<br />

Vieux Marche is surrounded by half timbered houses<br />

and the Gros Horloge, a colourful one handed clock<br />
