Volume Pressure VentilationThe LTV ® 1200 ventilator offers both Volume and Pressure ventilation.When Volume is selected, all machine and assist breaths are Volume Control breaths. Breaths aregiven according to the Tidal Volume and Insp. Time controls. For more information on VolumeControl breaths, see Chapter 6 - Controls, Tidal Volume.When Pressure is selected, all machine and assist breaths are Pressure Control breaths. Breathsare given according to the Pres. Control and Insp. Time controls. For more information on PressureControl breaths, see Chapter 6 - Controls, Pressure Control.Bias FlowThe LTV ® 1200 ventilator provides a constant bias flow of 10 Lpm during exhalation to assist withpatient triggering. When the O2 Conserve option is ON, the bias flow is 0 lpm and assistance withpatient triggering is reduced. For more information on bias flow using the O2 Conserve option, seeChapter 10 - Extended Features, O2 Conserve.WARNINGO 2 Conserve – When CONSERVE ON is selected, the LTV ® 1200 automatically sets the bias flow to0 lpm and selects pressure triggering.
