The lot is not, and to the best of our knowledge,
has never been used for employee parking. The lot
contains approximately twenty truck bays, seven of
which were occupied when the premises were visited
on April 9, 197&. In the remainder of the parking
lot, there were ten company fleet cars, but not a
single private vehicle with the exception of one motorcycle.
All employee automobiles seemed to be parked
on Linwood Street.
Inasmuch" .as this parking area seems to be used exclusively
for parking Edison vehicles, I find it interesting
that the Boston Edison Company does not pay one
cent in excise taxes for vehicles parked in this city.
I think this situation should be investigated", and
that the Boston Edison Company should put its house
in order in this matter.
