GENERAL MANAGER’S MUSINGSBy Gord SarkissianA many of you have noted the Club has embarked on the new age of awareness andfeedback with the monthly issuance of our Two Question Surveys. The brainchild of ourCommunications Committee, these surveys are designed to give, and to get, instantfeedback to questions and issues that are current and relevant to the club. This pastmonth we asked how you felt about the pro shop announcing your name at your specifictee time. Over 80% of the 365 members who responded felt that this was a good service to provide.Based on this information we intend to continue with this service at the times that we do not have a starteron the tee. Please watch for more of these monthly questions. If you have a question you feel would be valuableto ask the membership please forward it to the Committees’ attention for consideration..The month of May at the Club saw some wonderful events. One of my favoriteswas our new member reception and orientation. New members were invited tomeet club personnel in the various areas of the clubhouse and maintenance facilityfor a visit and some information on the area they were visiting. Of course we hadrefreshments at each station. Over 35 new members and their families participatedalong with our dedicated Board and committee members. It was a fun andinformative evening hosted by our staff. Thanks to all that came out. The club ishosting a similar event in June on the 21 st . We will be entertaining your guests andprospective members throughout the club and facilities. The start time is 6:30 pm.Please give some thought to who in your circle might enjoy a tour of the facilitieswith fun and delicious refreshments along the way. There is no charge and certainlyno hard sell tactics towards your guests. Our goal is to introduce and welcomeyour friends, colleagues and associates to our community. Chef Dawn hasrelocated to Calgary to be closer to her family. We thank Dawn for her two years of service to the membershipand wish her success with the move and her future endeavors. The Club will be searching for a suitablereplacement over the weeks ahead.Over the coming weeks and months the club will be hosting a multitude of outside events from weddings totournaments and more. Some of these events will force the closure of the dining room and banquet areas.The Library (yes no books in sight) will remain open for your dining pleasure. Please know that we appreciateyour patience and support as we strive to generate new member interest and revenue on your behalfthrough these events.
