Strength training has been proved to<br />

benefi t all populations, from adolescent<br />

athletes to seniors. Traditionally, most<br />

people rely on cardiovascular activity and<br />

a low calorie diet to change their physical<br />

appearance. Unfortunately, low calorie diets<br />

merely punish the soul and decrease the<br />

metabolism. Without including consistent<br />

strength training in our program, eff ecting<br />

change can be an impossible goal. Th is class<br />

will combine strength training, yoga, and<br />

pilates exercises. Please bring a mat to class.<br />

Ages 18 and up<br />

Cycling is an exciting way to workout! Th e<br />

workout is designed to enable all individuals<br />

to participate in a group exercise class with<br />

emphasis on individual performance. A<br />

typical class may consist of going up and<br />

down hills, climbs, sprints, or visualizing<br />

riding around a neighborhood or up a<br />

mountain. Spinning is a fun and eff ective<br />

exercise challenge and a great way to lose<br />

body fat. Please bring a towel and plenty of<br />

Purchase a Flex Class Pass! Th is pass is a convenient and easy way to attend all of your<br />

favorite classes to fi t your schedule. No more stopping at the front desk to pay the drop-in<br />

fee, go straight to class and present the card to the instructor! Each pass is valid for<br />

10 in-house fi tness classes (see list of qualifying classes below).<br />

Valid for all classes listed in the Summer 2012 brochure. All passes sold during this<br />

season will expire on September 3, 2012.<br />

No refunds will be given for class passes. If you will not use the Flex Class Pass for 10 classes, it is recommended that<br />

you sign up for a session of the class you wish to attend, or you may elect to pay the drop-in fee any time you wish to<br />

attend a class you are not signed up for.<br />

*NOTE: Classes are subject to cancellation in the event of repeated low attendance. A class that does not meet its<br />

minimum on the fi rst day of a new session will be cancelled. In addition, if a class averages less than its minimum<br />

for 2 consecutive weeks it will be cancelled<br />

PIYO (KK)<br />

Ages 16 and up<br />

PiYo is a hybrid, athletic workout inspired<br />

by the mind/body practices of yoga and<br />

Pilates, as well as the principles of sports<br />

stretch, strength training, conditioning<br />

and dynamic movement. Perfect for any<br />

fi tness levels, PiYo includes modifi cations<br />

for the group exercise environment, yet<br />

off ers exercise progressions to challenge all<br />

levels of participants. PiYo will increase the<br />

one’s strength, fl exibility, and balance, while<br />

off ering stress reduction and improving<br />

one’s overall fi tness level.<br />
