Skate Park<br />
THIS FACILITY IS UNSUPERVISED. SK<strong>AT</strong>E AND BIKE RIDE <strong>AT</strong> YOUR OWN RISK.<br />
• Skateboarding, In-Line Skating and BMX Bike-riding are high risk activities. Please use caution.<br />
• Th e park district is NOT responsible for injuries<br />
• Proper protective equipment is required which includes: helmets, elbow pads, knee pads, etc.<br />
• Skaters are responsible for inspecting and reporting any damage and vandalism to the park<br />
district at 630/894-4200<br />
• It is required that younger skaters be accompanied by an adult<br />
PROHIBITED ACTS<br />
• Include but are not limited to:<br />
• Only bicycles, skateboards/scooters, or rollerblades are allowed in designated areas.<br />
No bikes are allowed on the skate area and no skates are allowed on the bike area.<br />
• Users should use pathways to enter/exit designated areas<br />
• NO food, drinks, or glass on skate/bike operating surfaces<br />
• NO Littering, breaking glass, and distributing/affi xing fl iers, stickers, etc. on park property<br />
• Destruction and misuse of property or structures, including graffi ti marking, damaging<br />
equipment, defacing signage, and using equipment contrary to designed/intended use<br />
• NO trespassing after sunset<br />
• Smoking or any use of a tobacco product is prohibited in all Park District buildings, facilities<br />
and vehicles<br />

ENFORCEMENT<br />
Th e Roselle Police Department is authorized to arrest and/or ticket any persons found to be<br />
violating any ordinance or rule of the Roselle Park District, the Village of Roselle, or law of the<br />
State of Illinois.<br />
PENALTIES<br />
• Fines of $25 to $500.<br />
• Confi scation of the bicycle,<br />
skateboard/scooter, or rollerblades<br />
• Being banned from park district<br />
property, facilities, and programs<br />

The Roselle<br />

Th e fi eld is the fi rst of its kind in the<br />
Roselle area, although over one hundred<br />
Miracle League fi elds already exist across<br />
the country and about one hundred<br />
more are under construction. Miracle<br />
Fields are made from a weather-resistant<br />
synthetic turf Called “Mondo” and are<br />
designed specifi cally for wheelchair<br />
bound and/or physically disabled<br />
children and adults. Th e ball fi eld and<br />
dugout areas are fenced in so the players<br />
and activity stay in the designated area<br />
for safe play. Th e base path distance<br />
is 45’ the distance from the mound to<br />
home plate is 32.75’ and the distance for<br />
a home-run straight away center fi eld is<br />
117’. Th e district allows residents to use<br />
thefi eld for free; however the district<br />
does have organizations that have<br />
priority use to the fi elds as a<br />
permit is required.<br />
