T.C.C.F. REPORTThis year a large number of exitstudents will leave the lecturerooms of College for the last time,and in doing so will commencetheir careers as teachers in stateschools throughout Victoria. Ofthis number how many will findsatisfaction in their work, and moreimportant, how many will havefound real and lasting values andan outlook on life which the childrenin the schools can admire andimitate?The reason that Teachers' CollegeChristian Fellowship functionshere is to show students that thereis a purpose in life and that thereare values which are real and meanmgtul.These are not to be foundoutside of a personal faith in ChristJesus and an acknowledgement ofHim as Saviour, Lord and Friend.This message has been presentedin many ways over the past year.Over twenty different visitingspeakers have addressed students atmeetings held during lunch time onFridays. In addition, numerousspeakers have attended eveningmeetings in <strong>Struan</strong> for hostel students.Three films have beenscreened during the year. One film,"God of Creation" was shown totwo hundred students in the AssemblyHall. Also two social nightshave been held in ineriibers' homes.Bible studies and daily prayer meetingshave been two of the mostimportant aspects of our programme.The group is Protestant and interdenominational.All College studentshave been, and are, welcometo attend any functions.During the year contact has beenkept with T.C.C.F. groups in theother Colleges by correspondenceand by regular conferences held inthe city. In the May vacation elevenT.C.C.F. members from Frankstonatt ended a five-day camp withstudents from groups in the sevenother sister Colleges.AJI finances are independent ofthe S.R.C. and come from the donationsof members. Expenses haveincluded hire of films, travellingexpenses of speakers and the costof social nights.The new committee for 1963 hasbeen elected and has taken office.The President of the group for nextyear will be Genief Mills, who is atpresent a second-year LT.C.
