Stakeholder Relations The Bank strives to establish lasting bonds with its stakeholders based on trust, mutual respect and ethics and that create value for all stakeholders. In its relationships with its many stakeholders, BICBANCO works in tandem with its principles by using responsible corporate management, maintaining operations within current standards, offering quality products and services to its clients and giving back some of the results that it has gained through its efforts to society. The Bank strives to establish lasting bonds with its stakeholders based on trust, mutual respect and ethics and that create value for all stakeholders. To do this, it makes corporate information available in a transparent manner and uses resources to constantly improve and expand engagement with its interlocutors. The Bank’s actions are based on the principles of its Code of Ethics, available online at www.<strong>bicbanco</strong>. com.br. The Bank focuses its efforts on informing, directing and distributing its resources to society in an ordered and balanced manner, with the purpose of fostering consistent growth for these stakeholders and collaborating to appropriately grow social, environmental, financial and intellectual capital, which leads to sustainable development. In this context, the Bank has several interactive channels available, described under the “Communication” topic, in addition to a dedicated e-mail for sustainability matters: movimentoazul@<strong>bicbanco</strong>.com.br. Issues received through any of the communication channels involving matters connected to social and environmental risks and opportunities are sent to the Blue Committee for treatment. BICBANCO does not receive significant government assistance, since the proportion of amounts received through tax incentive laws (BRL2.9 million) and the amounts of taxes paid (approximately BRL250 million) is 1.2%. ENGAGEMENT GRI 3.5, 4.14, 4.15, 4.16, 4.17, 4.4 and FS5 Strengthening its relationship with stakeholders is one of BICBANCO’s strategic objectives. To identify and select stakeholders, meetings were held among all Bank managers on the following topic: “What is the social role of a financial institution?”. At the outset, 12 groups of stakeholders were listed: the market, clients, regulatory authorities, internal public, shareholders, unions, the community, the environment, the media/press, market analysts, suppliers, the government and society. To foster this engagement, the Institution also provides several channels of communication, it discloses its sustainability management policies and it adopts specific and regular initiatives that encourage adoption of these guidelines. 51
