<strong>VRIOGS</strong> <strong>002.1</strong> Revision A 9PART A DESIGN GUIDELINES ANDENGINEERING REQUIREMENTSSECTION 4.0 DESIGN REQUIREMENTS AND CONSIDERATIONS4.1 GOOD DESIGN PRINCIPLESThe following ‘Good <strong>Design</strong> Principles’ are extracted from the ‘Good <strong>Design</strong> of Transport’publication of the Office of the Victoria Government Architect <strong>and</strong> should be promotedwhere possible in the design:FunctionalSafe, LegibleSeamlessFit for purpose, well planned <strong>and</strong> constructed with appropriatematerials <strong>and</strong> technology.Underst<strong>and</strong>able, feels safe <strong>and</strong> secure, includes good visual link<strong>and</strong> strong passive surveillance.
