concerned Head of the Department by submitting 10 copies which will be consideredby the Accreditation Committee consisting of Deans of all colleges, Registrar and Headof the concerned department with Dean PGS as Convener. For units under the controlof Incharge or directly under the charge of the Dean, the Head of the department whereaccreditation is to be made will be the member of Accreditation Committee. Foraccreditation to guide research at Master's or Ph.D. level the number and quantity ofresearch publications shall be taken into consideration.(8) The recommendations of the Accreditation Committee will be considered by the Boardof Faculty of <strong>Post</strong> <strong>Graduate</strong> Studies.(9) The recommendations of the Board of Faculty of <strong>Post</strong> <strong>Graduate</strong> Studies will beconsidered by the Academic Council.(10) The decision of the Academic Council will be communicated to the concerned staffmembers and Head of the Department by the Dean, <strong>Post</strong> <strong>Graduate</strong> Studies.(11) Accreditation of a teacher can be withdrawn if at any stage it is found that the teacherconcerned has not been found worthy of task entrusted to him. The following procedureshall be followed in this connection.Where a Head of the Department finds or has reasons to believe or Dean ofrespective college/Dean, College of <strong>Post</strong> <strong>Graduate</strong> Studies/Vice-Chancellor has reportor reasons to believe that an accredited staff member is not performing the duties of anAdvisor or member of the Advisory Committee of <strong>Post</strong> <strong>Graduate</strong> student satisfactorily,the matter shall be referred to the Dean, College of <strong>Post</strong> <strong>Graduate</strong> Studies for withdrawalof the accreditation of the concerned staff member. The Dean PGS will provideopportunity to the concerned staff member to defend his case. The matter will then beplaced before the Accreditation Committee and then if necessary to <strong>Post</strong> <strong>Graduate</strong>Faculty. The recommendation of the PG Faculty will be placed before the AcademicCouncil.Formula for conversion of OGPA into percentage of marks32. The formula for conversion of the Overall Grade Point Average into aggregate percentageof marks is as under:FORMULA:Percentage of Marks = OGPA × 100/10e.g. if the OGPA is 6.000 then the percentage of marks would be6.000x100/10 = 60%Conversion of Quarter, Trimesters and Annual Credits33. The following formula shall be applied for purposes of conversion of quarter, trimesterand annual credits into semester credits.2 Quarter Credits = 1 Semester Credit1.5 Trimester Credit = 1 Semester Credit1 Annual Credit = 2 Semester Credits143
