Annexure IIACADEMIC REGULATIONS SPECIFIC TO CABMChapter 312. Mode of Admission: The admissions to MBA programmes shall be made on the basis ofnational level competitive written examination (CAT/MAT etc.) to be organized for admissionto Masters <strong>Programmes</strong> in Management. The candidates short-listed based on the score inwritten test (CAT/MAT etc.) will have to undergo for Group Discussion and Interview onspecified date at CABM. The cut off marks will be decided by the Admissions Committee.The admissions to Ph. D. Programme will be as per the same policy as approved by theAcademic Council for other Ph. D. <strong>Programmes</strong> of the University.Chapter 44. Types of Examinations: In management programmes there shall be following types ofexaminations:1. Mid semester examination2. Practical examination3. Semester final examination4. PGCAP (Participation in class discussion, Group discussion, Case presentations,Assignments, Punctuality etc.)5. The weightage for various types of examinations in Management programmes will be asunder:Mid semester examination = 20%Practical = 0 to 20%PGCAP = 40% to 20%Semester final examination = 40%The mid semester examination shall be held in the 9 th -10 th week of the semester.Make up examination shall be conducted in 15 th week of the semester. All final practicalexaminations shall be finished one week before commencement of semester finalexaminations.The make up to mid semester examination, final practical examination and semesterfinal examination will be allowed as per the regulations of the University.Chapter 51. Advisor: Every student on admission to MBA programme shall be assigned a project guidewho will also act as his advisor. Dean, CABM shall propose Project Guide for the studentsof MBA by the end of second semester of his admission to Dean PGS for approval. TheProject Guide shall be a statutory member of Board of <strong>Post</strong> <strong>Graduate</strong> Faculty and accreditedas per the procedure laid down for accreditation of faculty for guiding Master’s and Ph.D.thesis research. The project guide shall not guide more than Ten students of any batch of theMBA programme. He shall be required to guide the summer as well as the final project.145
