In addition, HCC has a system (HCC-Alert EmergencyNotification System) to rapidly communicate with students, faculty, and staff bysending a voice message and/or text message to home and cell telephones.The kinds of emergencies that might result in an HCC-Alert notificationinclude fire, campus closures due to severe weather, or the presence ofa dangerous individual.While the system is active and ready for use, it is only as good asthe contact information it contains.
