VPN (Virtual Private Network) defines a private secure connection betweentwo nodes on a public network such as <strong>the</strong> Internet. The <strong>G350</strong> VPN feature is designed tosupport site-to-site topologies in which <strong>the</strong> two peers are <strong>Gateway</strong>s.FIPS compliance. The Federal Information Processing Standard for cryptographicmodules, FIPS-140-2, has become a de facto standard that governs <strong>the</strong> acquisition <strong>of</strong> allcommercial <strong>of</strong>f <strong>the</strong> shelf products to be used in systems handling US security information.In Release 2.2, <strong>the</strong> <strong>G350</strong> cryptographic module meets <strong>the</strong> overall requirements applicableto Level 1 security <strong>of</strong> FIPS 140-2.TFTP IP phone upgrades. The Trivial File Transfer Protocol (TFTP) can be used todownload configuration and firmware upgrade files to IP phones.
