IntroductionThe G350 can be deployed in one of two basic working modes:●Distributed Avaya Enterprise Connect. In this mode, the G350 is controlled by an externalmedia server. This may be a standalone media server, such as the S8500, S8700 orS8710, or a separate media gateway in a standalone configuration. The G350 may alsohouse an S8300 Media Server module to function as a Local Survivable Processor (LSP),which can take over control of the G350 if the external media server stops serving theG350.● Standalone. In this mode, the G350 is controlled by an internally housed S8300 MediaServer module.Multiple G350s may be deployed in many remote branches of a large organization. Largebranches or main offices may deploy an Avaya G700 Media Gateway, which provides similarfunctionality to the G350 for a larger number of users.
