The first order of business was to approve the recommendations made during Executive Session, upon motionby Dr. David G. Edwards, and properly seconded by Dr. Craig L. Meadows, and unanimously passed, the recommendationsmade were approved.The next order of business was to revisit the motion by Dr. C. Richard Gerber and discuss filling the position ofExecutive Secretary. At this time Drs. Gerber and Meadows withdrew their motion and second respectively to hire Dr.Smith. Upon motion by Mr. William E. Ford, III, and properly seconded by Dr. Diane M. Paletta, and unanimously passed,the Board will actively pursue filling this position by advertising in the Charleston and Beckley newspapers for a full timeExecutive Secretary with salary and benefits. The staff will supply resumes received to board members for their review.A phone conference meeting will be called for members to make recommendations of the resumes they are interested in.The Board’s President, Assistant Executive Secretary and Senior Assistant Attorney General will review thoserecommended and schedule interviews.The next order of business was the meeting notice to the Secretary of State which was distributed for informationpurposes only.The next order of business was the approval of minutes from the April and June, 2011 meetings which wereapproved as distributed.The next order of business was a notice of Board appointments made by the Governor on July 1, 2011.
