Conard, Jr., determined this meeting was properly noticed with theSecretary of State’s office and a sufficient number of Board members were in attendance to constitute a quorum. Thequorum was determined by the presence of Dr. Conard, Dr. Paletta, Mrs. Arceneaux, Dr. Edwards, Mr. Ford, Dr. Gerber,Dr. Meadows, and Mrs. Stevens. Therefore, the meeting of the West Virginia Board of Dental Examiners was called toorder.The first order of business was the meeting notice to the Secretary of State which was distributed for informationpurposes only.At this time, the President announced the need for an Executive Session to consider matters under provisionscontained in Chapter 6, Article 9A, Section 4, not limited to, but primarily for those contained in Subsections (4) and (6).Upon motion by Mrs. Beverly L. Stevens, and properly seconded by Mrs. Camille A. Arceneaux, andunanimously passed, the Board went into an executive session. Thereafter, the Board came back into a general sessionupon motion by Mrs. Camille A. Arceneaux, and properly seconded by Dr. Craig L. Meadows, and unanimously passed.office.The next order of business was a discussion concerning the assignment and services of the Attorney General’sUpon motion by Mr. William E. Ford, III, and properly seconded by Mrs. Beverly L. Stevens, and passing bygeneral consent, the Board approves the assignment of James Casey by the Attorney General’s office as a part-time (50%)attorney for the Board.Upon motion by Mr. William E. Ford, III, and properly seconded by Diane M. Paletta, and passing by generalconsent, the Board directs the Executive Secretary to notify the Attorney General’s office to put assignment in motion andto request the Board be advised if the workload of Mr. Casey reaches 10% of the 50% level so the Board has warning ofpaying hourly wages.At this time the meeting was adjourned.44
