Conard, Jr., determined this meeting was properly noticed with <strong>the</strong>Secretary <strong>of</strong> State’s <strong>of</strong>fice and a sufficient number <strong>of</strong> Board members were in attendance to constitute a quorum. Thequorum was determined by <strong>the</strong> presence <strong>of</strong> Dr. Conard, Dr. Paletta, Mrs. Arceneaux, Dr. Edwards, Mr. Ford, Dr. Gerber,Dr. Meadows, and Mrs. Stevens. There<strong>for</strong>e, <strong>the</strong> meeting <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> West Virginia Board <strong>of</strong> Dental Examiners was called toorder.The first order <strong>of</strong> business was <strong>the</strong> meeting notice to <strong>the</strong> Secretary <strong>of</strong> State which was distributed <strong>for</strong> in<strong>for</strong>mationpurposes only.At this time, <strong>the</strong> President announced <strong>the</strong> need <strong>for</strong> an Executive Session to consider matters under provisionscontained in Chapter 6, Article 9A, Section 4, not limited to, but primarily <strong>for</strong> those contained in Subsections (4) and (6).Upon motion by Mrs. Beverly L. Stevens, and properly seconded by Mrs. Camille A. Arceneaux, andunanimously passed, <strong>the</strong> Board went into an executive session. Thereafter, <strong>the</strong> Board came back into a general sessionupon motion by Mrs. Camille A. Arceneaux, and properly seconded by Dr. Craig L. Meadows, and unanimously passed.<strong>of</strong>fice.The next order <strong>of</strong> business was a discussion concerning <strong>the</strong> assignment and services <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Attorney General’sUpon motion by Mr. William E. Ford, III, and properly seconded by Mrs. Beverly L. Stevens, and passing bygeneral consent, <strong>the</strong> Board approves <strong>the</strong> assignment <strong>of</strong> James Casey by <strong>the</strong> Attorney General’s <strong>of</strong>fice as a part-time (50%)attorney <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> Board.Upon motion by Mr. William E. Ford, III, and properly seconded by Diane M. Paletta, and passing by generalconsent, <strong>the</strong> Board directs <strong>the</strong> Executive Secretary to notify <strong>the</strong> Attorney General’s <strong>of</strong>fice to put assignment in motion andto request <strong>the</strong> Board be advised if <strong>the</strong> workload <strong>of</strong> Mr. Casey reaches 10% <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> 50% level so <strong>the</strong> Board has warning <strong>of</strong>paying hourly wages.At this time <strong>the</strong> meeting was adjourned.44
