Smith, determined this meeting was properly noticed with <strong>the</strong> Secretary<strong>of</strong> State’s <strong>of</strong>fice and a sufficient number <strong>of</strong> Board members were in attendance to constitute a quorum. The quorum wasdetermined by <strong>the</strong> presence <strong>of</strong> Dr. Smith, Mrs. Dent, Dr. Conard, Dr. Edwards, Mr. Ford, Dr. Klenk, Dr. Marshall, Dr.Meadows, and Dr. Paletta. There<strong>for</strong>e, <strong>the</strong> meeting <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> West Virginia Board <strong>of</strong> Dental Examiners was called to order.The first order <strong>of</strong> business was <strong>the</strong> meeting notice to <strong>the</strong> Secretary <strong>of</strong> State which was distributed <strong>for</strong> in<strong>for</strong>mationpurposes only.At this time, <strong>the</strong> President announced <strong>the</strong> need <strong>for</strong> an Executive Session to consider matters under provisionscontained in Chapter 6, Article 9A, Section 4, not limited to, but primarily <strong>for</strong> those contained in Subsections (4) and (6).Upon motion by Dr. David G. Edwards, and properly seconded by Dr. Craig L. Meadows, and unanimouslypassed, <strong>the</strong> Board went into an executive session. Thereafter, <strong>the</strong> Board came back into a general session upon motion byDr. H. Richard Marshall, Jr., and properly seconded by Dr. David G. Edwards, and unanimously passed.The next order <strong>of</strong> business was <strong>the</strong> recommendation <strong>of</strong> approval <strong>of</strong> a Consent Decree and Order in case number2007-DB-0034D. Upon motion by Dr. David G. Edwards, and properly seconded by, Dr. H. Richard Marshall, Jr., andunanimously passed, <strong>the</strong> Consent Decree and Order was approved.The next order <strong>of</strong> business was <strong>the</strong> recommendation <strong>of</strong> a Summary Suspension in case number 2009-DB-0044D.Upon motion by Dr. H. Richard Marshall, Jr., and properly seconded by Dr. David G. Edwards, and unanimously passed,<strong>the</strong> Board voted to issue a Summary Suspension.The next order <strong>of</strong> business was <strong>the</strong> approval <strong>of</strong> all o<strong>the</strong>r recommendations made during executive session. Uponmotion by Dr. Michelle G. Klenk, and properly seconded by Dr. Craig L. Meadows, and unanimously passed, all o<strong>the</strong>rrecommendations made during executive session were approved.The next order <strong>of</strong> business was <strong>the</strong> approval <strong>of</strong> minutes from <strong>the</strong> March & May, 2010 meetings. Upon motionby Dr. David G. Edwards, and properly seconded by Dr. H. Richard Marshall, Jr., and unanimously passed, <strong>the</strong> minuteswere approved with a correction to <strong>the</strong> March minutes. On page three, <strong>the</strong> word Dental Anes<strong>the</strong>siologist will be correctedto read Dentist Anes<strong>the</strong>siologist.The next order <strong>of</strong> business was in<strong>for</strong>mation from <strong>the</strong> American Dental Association concerning <strong>the</strong> replacement<strong>of</strong> National Board <strong>of</strong> Dental Examinations, Part I & II with an integrated examination, which was distributed <strong>for</strong>in<strong>for</strong>mation purposes only.7
