Honours progra:ms providea concentration in the particular field, as well as an extended. time of study, and are normally a requirement for those who contemplateproceeding to graduate studies. "Kinesiology studentswho successfully complete' all requirements of the firstthreelevelsof 'an Honcurs Kinesiology degree may, request permission' ofthe Office of the Associate Dean of Social Sciences fcr transfer tograduat~ with a three-level Bachel'or of Kinesiology degree.! ., Students enrolled in an Honours program in the Faculty of SocialSciences, with the exception of Honours Psychology, in additionto meeting the <strong>University</strong> requirements for an Hono.urs' degree(see the General Academic Regulations section in thisCalendar) must also fulfill the following breadth and skills- re-'quirements prescribed.by the Faculty:'. • six units from the Faculty of Humanities and/orthe Departmentof Religious Studies. Kinesiologystudents who fail to meet these minimum requirements but havea C.A. of at least 3~5 may register in LevEi11i Kinesiology (General)and will be given the opportunity to complete the Level II HonoursKinesiology program requirements in an attempt to qualify for HonoursKinesiclogy at their next review. Such students are stronglyencouraged to seek academic counselling prior to registration. '.Honours Bachelor of Arts (Specialist Option): Economics, of~fers an Honours (Specialist Optiot:1) program which ,involvesgreater concentration of work in Economics.
