Spring Flowers RallySpring Flowers ResultsBy Phillip “the Goose” MarksSVR MemberA lovely warm Saturday greeted rallyistson the 15 th of May. Following a grand rallyschool, all concerned took off on a simplerally around Vacaville and Winters. The bestpart of the event was the congregation ofthe best checkpoint workers in the world atthe single checkpoint. Rallyists entered thischeckpoint three times. The workers had brought picnics, chairs, tables, umbrellas and liquid refreshment, andhad a merry old time celebrating my finaleffort as rallymaster. As has often been saidin many a Drifter … no workers, no event.Thank you to the CP crew of thecentury: Larry & Pat Wilson, George &Nona Morley, Dave & Dolores Johnson,Richard Wetzel and Melodee McKinnon,Lettie Larson, Bud & Maryanne Behrens,Helen Aschukian, and the ever patient andsupportive apple of my eye, Barbara Bybee.Thank you too, to Rik “the Snake” Larsonand J.
