1984-1999 BIG TWINSS&S ®IST ® IGNITION SYSTEMTruly revolutionary, the Intelligent Spark Technology (IST) system monitors crank position, camposition (if equipped), MAP, cylinder temperature, and knock sensor. If knock or detonation occurs,the IST system adjusts timing until it stops and then stores the information. In effect, the system"learns" the ignition requirements of a particular engine and creates a fully custom ignition map forit.
