Tupper.Final ratifi<strong>ca</strong>tion <strong>of</strong> the Canadian Military authoritieswas received in a letter to the D. 0. C., M. D. No. 11, from&quot;IOttawa, dated March 27th, 1912, in part as follows :am directed by the Minister in Militia Council toinform you that a despatch has been received from, theImperial authorities to the effect that His Majesty theKing has been graciously pleased to approve <strong>of</strong> the <strong>72nd</strong><strong>Highlanders</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Canada</strong> being designated the <strong>72nd</strong> <strong>Seaforth</strong><strong>Highlanders</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Canada</strong>, and <strong>of</strong> the regiment beingshown in the War Office Army List as being allied to the<strong>Seaforth</strong> <strong>Highlanders</strong> (Ross-shire Buffs, the Duke <strong>of</strong> Albany s).(Signed) I am, etc.,F.
