CH.3 – 54]CIVIL AVIATIONAccess andinspection.(2) Any person who, having been required in termsof paragraph (1) to produce any document or other article,without lawful cause makes a statement that is false in anymaterial particular, or fails to produce any document orother article which is in his possession or control or towhich he has access, shall be guilty of an offence.(3) An authorized person shall have the right toenter and inspect any aerodrome, hanger or other place (atwhich an aircraft is located or stored), aircraft or anyorganization performing tasks and services related toaviation safety and to inspect any aircraft, aircraftequipment, components, materials, facilities, personnel orcrew members for the purpose of ensuring that theprovisions of the Act and these <strong>Regulations</strong> have been, orare being complied with.(4) Where it appears to any authorized person thatan aircraft is intended or likely to be flown in suchcircumstances that the flight would involve an offenceagainst these <strong>Regulations</strong> or be a cause of danger topersons in the aircraft or to persons or property on theground, he may take such action by way of detention of theaircraft or such other action necessary for the purpose ofinspecting the aircraft or causing the circumstances of theflight to be investigated.(5) Where an aircraft has been detained pursuant to(4) above such aircraft shall not be operated until theMinister, being satisfied that these <strong>Regulations</strong> are beingcomplied with, approves or until such modifications orrepairs have been effected as the Minister considersnecessary to render the aircraft fit for flight.(6) For the purpose of exercising his responsibilitiesunder these <strong>Regulations</strong> any authorized person shall beissued with and carry at all times the means of identificationreferred to in regulation 13.(7) No person shall intentionally obstruct or impedeany authorized person acting in the exercise of his powersor the performance of his duties under these <strong>Regulations</strong>.16. (1) <strong>The</strong> Minister may cause such evaluations,inspections, investigations, tests, experiment, and flighttrials to be made as it deems necessary for the purposes ofthese <strong>Regulations</strong>. Any person authorized in writing by theMinister to conduct these inspections, investigations andSTATUTE LAW OF THE BAHAMAS LRO 1/2006
