CH.3 – 70]CIVIL AVIATIONAircraft records.(c) defects entered in the aircraft logbook ortechnical log of the aircraft in accordance withthe <strong>Regulations</strong> have been rectified or therectification thereof has been deferred in accordancewith procedures approved by the Minister;and(d) certificates of release to service have beenissued in accordance with the <strong>Regulations</strong>;and for this purpose the operator of the aircraft shall makeavailable to that person such information as is necessary.(6) A release to service shall be issued in duplicateand one copy of the most recently issued release to serviceshall be carried in the aircraft when the <strong>Regulations</strong> sorequire, and the other shall be kept by the operatorelsewhere than in the aircraft.(7) Subject to the provisions regarding retention ofdocuments in this Regulation and its applicable Schedules,each release to service shall be preserved by the operator ofthe aircraft for a period of two years after it has beenissued.31. (1) A aircraft logbook or technical log shall bekept in respect of an aircraft registered in <strong>The</strong> <strong>Bahamas</strong> oran aircraft operated by the holder of an AOC issued underthese <strong>Regulations</strong>.(2) At the end of every flight by an aircraft operatedby the holder of an AOC issued under these <strong>Regulations</strong>,the pilot in command shall enter in the aircraft logbook ortechnical log the information required under these<strong>Regulations</strong> applicable to the type of operation, and signand date such entries.(3) Upon the rectification of any defect which hasbeen entered in a technical log in accordance withparagraph (2) a person issuing a release to service requiredby Regulation and Schedules in respect of that defect shallenter that information in the aircraft logbook or technicallog in such a position as to be readily identifiable with thedefect to which it relates.(4) <strong>The</strong> aircraft technical log referred to in thisregulation shall be carried in the aircraft as required by theapplicable Regulation and Schedules, and copies of theentries referred to in this regulation shall be kept on theground:STATUTE LAW OF THE BAHAMAS LRO 1/2002
