CH.3 – 68]CIVIL AVIATIONContinuedairworthiness.(4) All modifications or repairs carried out shall besubject to approval by the Minister in accordance withdetailed drawings and other technical data adequate todefine completely the proposed modification and usingapproved materials, parts and processes conforming to themanufacturer’s specifications and in accordance with atechnical assessment showing compliance with an approveddesign standard.30. (1) An aircraft registered in <strong>The</strong> <strong>Bahamas</strong> inrespect of which a certificate of airworthiness is in forceshall not fly unless —(a) the aircraft (including in particular its engines),together with its equipment and radio station, ismaintained in accordance with a maintenanceprogram developed in accordance with the<strong>Regulations</strong> applicable to the type of operation;(b) the required inspections of the aircraft have beencompleted in accordance with the <strong>Regulations</strong>applicable to the type of operation;(c) there is a flight manual (or other approveddocument) carried on, and available in, theaircraft, in such form as shall be approved by theMinister, for the use of the flight crewcontaining the limitations within which theaircraft is considered airworthy, together withsuch additional instructions and information asmay be necessary to show compliance with the<strong>Regulations</strong> relating to performance and for thesafe operation of the aircraft.(2) <strong>The</strong> holder of an AOC issued under these<strong>Regulations</strong>, or other operator of an aircraft, shall ensurethat an aircraft registered in <strong>The</strong> <strong>Bahamas</strong> shall bemaintained and periodically inspected in accordance withthe requirements of the approved data and manuals issuedby the manufacturer and in accordance with the maintenanceprogram issued by the manufacturer and approvedby the Minister and that all Airworthiness Directives andMandatory Service Bulletins are complied with, and shallensure that an organization, approved by the Minister shallmaintain its aircraft in an airworthy condition and inaccordance with the approved maintenance program.STATUTE LAW OF THE BAHAMAS LRO 1/2002
