Sea Freight ImportSeefracht ImportBulk CargoBulk cargo loads (e.g: grain) are primarily delivered to and/or transported from the port onfreight cars due to the large mass of these types of loads. The loading at the port will takeplace directly from the freight car to the ship and vice-versa.Hazardous goods in sea transportationAll hazardous goods must be properly declared and packaged pursuant to IMDG and ADRregulations. The original IMO-Declaration for Dangerous Goods is prepared by the shipper.A copy of the IMO-Declaration should be sent to the freight carrier before the start of thetransport. Important: The exact technical name of the goods, type of hazard class, and theUN-Number must be included in the correspondence. The loading of hazardous goods ismore expensive than harmless deliveries, and therefore an initial inquiry should disclose thefact that the shipment is an IMO.Bulk-LadungenSchüttgutladungen (z.B. Getreide) werden in erster Linie im Waggon im Hafen angeliefertbzw. vom Hafen abtransportiert, da diese Ladungen meist aus größeren Mengen bestehen.Die Umladung im Hafen erfolgt direkt vom Waggon in das Schiff bzw. umgekehrt.Gefahrgut im SeeverkehrAlle Gefahrgüter müssen als solche deklariert werden und entsprechend der IMDG- und ADR-Regulations verpackt werden. Wichtig: der exakte technische Namen der Ware,Gefahrgutklasse und UN-Nummer sollten in der Korrespondenz enthalten sein.
